Hugger Brand Horse Blankets-  We have purchased many blankets in our horse time, as I'm certain you have as well,  we have found for ease of use and comfort of the horse we love the "Hugger".  It doesn't have standard front closures it fits more around the horses neck.  It looks somewhat like a child's bib in that it secures with oval fabric around the chest.  So that the front is covered but swings freely when the horse moves.

Rope Halters - I use rope halters for training horses, I prefer the thin rope style. I like that I don't have to pull, yank, or drag a horse when using this style of halter.  He is much more responsive to the thin rope than to a nylon or leather halter.  Although, using a rope halter does not exclude good training practices it can make the job easier.  For people who do not train it is still an effective tool for horses that are heavy or dull.  I DO NOT recommend using a rope halter when you horse is loose in the pasture, these style of halters do not break and can be very dangerous on an unsupervised horse. I DO NOT recommend using this type of halter to travel in.
